$Bahamas Underwater : A week spent at the Radisson at Cable Beach near Nassau, Bahamas. We snorkeled off the beach at the hotel, and a Stewart Cove's snorkel trip. The snorkel trip visited two different sites for us to see, then we went to a third site to get into the water with 4' - 6' reef sharks! If you can help identify any of the fish, please leave a comment. All pictures were taken with a Canon SD700IS with the Canon WP-DC5 waterproof housing. The housing was kind of expensive, but I think it was well worth it. I'll use it for Canoe trips and any other events were the camera is at risk of getting wet or dirty. It's a heck of a lot cheaper and easier than getting an underwater setup for my SLR. I was very happy with the performance of this point-n-shoot camera underwater. I took a zillion pictures and kept a fraction of them since it was tough to see the LCD in the glare underwater. So, I just pointed the camera in the general direction and fired away. I think there is a stick-on anti-glare hood available for the housing. I might try that. Questions? Click here to Email Jim$
